WH Left Stammering When Hit With New Revelations About How 'Tired' Joe Biden Is

At this point, the Biden team has to be tearing their hair out.

There’s a new poll that they’re having to deal with that shows 77 percent of the American people think that President Joe Biden is too old for another term. Even 69 percent of Democrats agree, which has to be hitting Biden’s handlers where they live.

On top of that, 25 percent of the people in the poll said that the first word they think of when they think of Joe Biden is “old,” “outdated,” “retire,” “elderly,” “aging,” “senile,” or “dementia.” The second highest group, at 15 percent, said that word that came to their mind was “slow,” “confused,” “idiot,” “ignorant,” “sleepy,” “gaffe,” or “bumbling.” We’ve seen it all the time in covering him, and so have the American people.

Now there’s a new book from Biden’s biographer Franklin Foer coming out, and it only adds to that perception and reveals more of Joe’s problems.

Foer used to write for the New Republic, so he’s not exactly a conservative. But he wasn’t holding back in this description of Biden.

“His advanced years were a hindrance, depriving him of the energy to cast a robust public presence or the ability to easily conjure a name,” Franklin Foer writes in The Last Politician: Inside Joe Biden’s White House and the Struggle for America’s Future.

“It was striking that he took so few morning meetings or presided over so few public events before 10am. His public persona reflected physical decline and time’s dulling of mental faculties that no pill or exercise regime can resist.

“In private, he would occasionally admit that he felt tired.”

Foer spoke about Biden’s staff trying not to schedule anything for Biden before 10 a.m.

Yikes. Now, he did try to give Biden a little cover, saying he had “experience.” Yes, being that old, he definitely has a lot of experience, and a lot of it is not good.

It’s also ticking off Biden, who notoriously doesn’t like to be challenged or told that he’s anything less than perfect.

However, in private, the oldest-ever commander in chief has “vented to allies” about how much the topic is discussed in the media, according to Politico.

“You think I don’t know how f—ing old I am?” an exasperated Biden ranted to one of his acquaintances last year, according to the outlet.

A reporter put White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on the spot about the book and about Biden’s health on Wednesday. He asked if this was why they had a “breakfast lid” that day.

“The book is suggesting the President tells aides that he’s tired. And that’s why there’s been so few public events before 10 am,” the reporter said.

“That’s a ridiculous assumption to make,” Jean-Pierre.

It’s not an assumption from the reporter, it’s an observation from the biographer based on his access to Biden and the Biden team.

That’s the problem. Joe Biden and Karine Jean-Pierre tell people to “watch him” to see how he is. And the biographer did, and he got Biden to admit it. But when people do watch Joe and see how bad it is, the White House tries to tell us to reject the evidence of our own eyes.

As I reported on Wednesday, Jean-Pierre also refused to explain why Biden went into the White House with his personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor. She said she didn’t know what that was about. So, if it wasn’t a scheduled check-up, then it was an unscheduled visit that might indicate an emergent problem. But the White House doesn’t want to talk about that either.

The walls may be closing in on the Biden family business scandal, but they’re also closing in on how long they can keep the sham that he’s all right going. They can’t credibly keep this up anymore, and it’s only going to get worse.
