The video of the “Heeramandi” starrer Suman family actors has come courtesy of Bollywood Now from Instagram. In this short clip, Adhyayan Suman was seen behind the steering wheel of the Ferrari 296 GTS. Meanwhile, his father, Shekhar Suman, was seen sitting on the passenger side.
Shekhar and Adhyayan Suman were then seen posing for pictures with Alka Suman. She is the wife of Shekhar Suman and mother of Adhyayan Suman. She arrived at the special screening of “Heeramandi” following her husband and son in her BMW i7. This particular sedan was gifted to her by Shekhar Suman a while ago.
Has Shekhar Suman bought this Ferrari 296 GTS?
Many people have speculated that Shekhar Suman, who is playing the role of Zulfikar in “Heeramandi,” has bought this Ferrari. However, the truth is that this Ferrari is not owned by him. Neither is it owned by his son Adhyayan, who is playing the role of Zorawar.
In reality, this particular Ferrari 296 GTS belongs to Navnit Motors, Mumbai. For those who may not be aware, Navnit Motors is one of the only two official Ferrari dealers in India, the other one being Fiorano Motors in Delhi.
The Ferrari Mumbai showroom is located near BKC in Bandra East. Most likely, the actors were given this Ferrari to make this grand appearance at the special screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix TV Series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.”
Ferrari 296 GTS
The Ferrari 296 GTS is the newest hybrid supercar from the Italian carmaker. The 296 GTS is the hardtop convertible version of the Ferrari 296 GTB. It was launched in India back in May of last year.
Powering the Ferrari 296 GTS is the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with a rear-mounted engine. It produces a maximum power of 664 bhp. Additionally, being a hybrid, it also gets a 166 bhp electric motor that takes the total output to 830hp and 740 Nm of torque.
The Ferrari 296 GTS can sprint from 0-100kph at a claimed 2.9 seconds. Meanwhile, its top speed has been electronically limited to 330 kmph. Despite being fitted with a hardtop convertible system that weighs 70 kg, the performance figures of the 296 GTS are identical to the 296 GTB.
Shekhar Suman gifted his wife a BMW i7
Back in May of last year, Shekhar Suman, along with his son and wife, took delivery of a Rs 2.4 crore BMW i7. This is the flagship electric luxury sedan from the German luxury carmaker BMW. He has gifted this sedan finished in the classy shade of oxide grey metallic.
The BMW i7 comes equipped with two electric motors positioned on each axle of the i7 xDrive 60 model. In total, these motors generate 544 bhp and 745 Nm of torque. It features a 101.7kWh lithium-ion battery with a WLTP cycle range of 591 to 625 km.
