Maruti Fronx-Based Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: Variants Explained

The Indo-Japanese automaker Toyota recently launched the Urban Cruiser Taisor in India. This new model has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 7.74 lakh. Toyota is offering the new Taisor in a total of five variants. The list of these variants includes – E, S, S+, G, and the top-of-the-line V. Base E Variant

Starting off with the base E variant of the Urban Cruiser Taisor. This particular variant has been priced at Rs. 7.74 lakh. It comes powered by the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine.

This motor produces a maximum power of 89.75 PS and 113 Nm of torque. This variant is also available with a CNG option, priced at Rs. 8.72 lakh. The E variant only comes with a manual transmission.

In terms of features, it gets halogen projector headlamps, signature grille with chrome garnish, and steel wheels with wheel cover. It also gets a shark fin antenna, roof-end spoiler, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, keyless entry system, power windows, and automatic climate control along with a gear shift indicator.

Safety features in the base variant include dual front airbags and vehicle stability control. It also gets hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors with infographic display, ABS with EBD.

S Variant

Coming to the second base variant, which is the S variant. It gets the same 1.2-litre engine. However, it comes with an additional automatic transmission option. The S variant has been priced at Rs. 8.60 lakh for the manual transmission variant and Rs. 9.13 lakh for the AMT.

Coming to the features of the S variant over the base E variant. It gets body-colored ORVMs with turn indicators and dual-tone interior. It also gets premium fabric seat upholstery, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

It will also come with OTA updates, steering-mounted controls, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs along with a rear parcel tray.

S+ Variant

Sitting above the S variant is the S+ variant. It has been priced at Rs. 8.99 lakh (MT) and Rs. 9.53 lakh (AMT). Apart from the same engine option, it gets a number of feature upgrades over the S variant.

The S+ variant of the Urban Cruiser Taisor will come equipped with LED multi-reflector headlamps and LED DRLs. It will also get automatic headlamps with a follow-me-home function. Additionally, it will come with painted alloy wheels.

G Variant

Moving up in the lineup, the next variant is the G variant. This more performance-oriented model will come powered by the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It will offer 100 PS of power and 147 Nm of torque.

As for the pricing, it is being offered at Rs. 10.55 lakh with the manual transmission and at Rs. 11.95 lakh with the automatic transmission. Coming to the feature upgrades, they are plentiful over the S+ variant.

The G variant of the Taisor will get a rear wiper and washer, chrome-plated inside door handles, 2 tweeters, TFT color multi-information display, and wireless charger. Additionally, it will also get paddle shifters (AT Only), a height-adjustable driver seat, and rear AC vents.

Apart from these, it will also come equipped with Type A and C USB charging sockets and front footwell lights. As for the safety features, it will get side and curtain airbags, a rearview camera, over-speed alert, door and lock status, battery status, headlamp and hazard lights, and Toyota’s iConnect connectivity suite.

V Variant

Last but not least, the top-of-the-line V variant has been priced at Rs. 11.46 lakh. This is the price for the manual transmission option, meanwhile, the automatic variant has been priced at Rs. 12.86 lakh.

Toyota is offering the top-spec V variant of the Taisor with Dual-tone exterior color options, UV-cut window glass, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also gets the bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ARKAMYS Tuning, cruise control, and safety features include head-up display, and a 360° view camera.

As for the color options, the Urban Cruiser Taisor is being offered with 5 mono-tone colors and 3 dual-tone colors. The mono-tone options will be Lucent Orange, Sporting Red, Cafe White, Enticing Silver, and Gaming Grey. Meanwhile, the dual-tone options will be Sporting Red, Enticing Silver, and Gaming Grey all with the Midnight Black roof.
